Plaid Photoshoot
March 2023

For Plaid's new London headquarters, my role was more than just traditional photography, merging art direction, meticulous editing, and engaging storytelling. Capturing the essence of Plaid's innovative spirit, I focused on the unique aspects of their hybrid work environment.

Through the lens, the balance of collaboration and privacy, the flexibility of their space, and the bespoke customisations came to life.
The first step in organising the shoot was to tidy the space and ensure it looked its best. From there, finding and mapping out the best angles of the space was needed. Including a variety of symmetrical wides, off centres, and detailed close ups. Placing certain people in specific areas helped breathe some life into the space, even including some movement for that added flair.

I used the process of bracketing (taking photos at different exposure levels) for my shots to capture all the different levels of light and shadow. In post, this allowed me to mask details in and around the windows and other areas which would otherwise be lost.
The photographs not only showcase the pleasing aesthetic of Plaid's workspace but also their brand's ethos of innovation and adaptability. Complementing the visuals, a blog piece wove together the narrative of Plaid's journey in adapting to a hybrid work model, emphasising their commitment to creating a dynamic and inclusive workspace.

This project was a testament to the harmonious blend of creativity and company culture, illustrating how the simple office can be both a canvas for artistic expression and a crucible for business growth.
