Celebrating Women in Technology
March 2023
For International Women's Day in March 2023, Techspace celebrated women in tech and acknowledged the ongoing need for progress in the sector. Featuring interviews with seven influential women.
The interviews, recorded and edited with the assistance of Gabriel Cox and Bryony Merrit ensured each interviewee was presented in the best light, reflecting the significance of their contributions. A standard three point lighting setup was employed, with a large key light for our main source.
The videography aimed to create an engaging and professional atmosphere, capturing the insightful dialogues. Two Blackmagic 4k cameras were used and synced for a standard dual perspective. This was essential when it came to editing.
Post-production, the editing process was meticulous, ensuring the final content was both compelling and true to the spirit of the discussions. The double camera setup allowed me to cut out any errors made by the subjects. When it came to colour grading/matching, having two of the same camera made this a lot easier. It came down to preference, whilst sticking to the basic rules.
This project was not just about recording interviews but creating a powerful visual narrative to amplify the voices of women in tech.
